nope not surfing, just had more sail than was needed, smoth water and a really light boat, ie down below i had the engine and a five gallon can of fuel feeding it, and thats all the rest was gutted. the good ol knot meater was ticking off between 8 and 10. i was very suprised too, though i do have an aquaintance with the same boat who claims a cruising speed of 9-10, i thought he was full of it as well...

thanks for the good wishes!

Is it the cabin sole that is soft? Floors are something else in boats.
Is your engine an OM636? If so, I have the exact same engine and know quite a bit about it having redone a lot of it.
Kind Regards,
JohnL
john,
yes, i did type floor, but meant sole, i have a hard time switching vocab.
its the om636, but its only 2 cylinders. which i know is another om# but thats whats stamped on the block. i would be interested in talking to you about it. the guys in the UK, said its the same engine just missing two cylinders...

As you are an off-roader we should be able to do something with your new type of "off-road" vehicle.

Or how about the fact that you are no longer looking for rocks to conquer - Boats don't do that well.

What about purchasing under the influence - "Under-Influenced"?

Aloha Joe,

The OM636 did make one of its 4 cyl engines with two separate heads. It could be one of those heads fits a 2 cyl. You sure there isn't another 2 cylinders hiding under a companionway or galley sink somewhere?

Sure would like to see some photos if you get a chance.

Kind Regards,

JohnL
