Hello All,

I am a long time boater but I just purchased my first
trawler. A 1978 Heritage Yachts 36ft West Indian Trawler. It is in Very good condition. I purchased it last September in Portsmouth NH and sailed it to my homeport of Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island Canada. I am very pleased with the boat. I plan on doing the Great Loop in a few years.
I am launching the boat tomorrow for my first full season with it. I plan on cruising the Bra D'Dor Lakes this summer.

Welcome aboard Peter.

Those trawlers are nice boats. Can you post some pics? When you're on your Great Loop adventure look us up. We're at Iroquois On which is where the last St. Lawrence Seaway lock is before you get to the 1000 Islands and Lake Ontario.

I spent some time in Sydney NS as an instructor at the Coast Guard College and fell in love with the Bra Dor lakes. Baddeck is a must see picture post card little village (well it was in the early 90's) and the Alexander Graham Bell museum is there which is definitely worth the time to visit.

Again, welcome aboard.

Yours Aye! Rick

Welcome aboard:

Don't know that particuilar trawler but after the lack of wind when cruising the PNW Admiral and I decided that we would cruise in a trawler up there next time.
