Hello sailors, I am a thirty year old male from North Carolina who has had the dream to sail for quite some time. I have lived around the water most of my life and until last Sunday had never sailed a boat before. Got my taste of it on a thirty footer and am patiently awaiting my next trip out this weekend. Can't beleive I have not done this before I was instantly hooked. Looking forward to learning the ropes and being part of this community.

Sounds like me. First time I ever went sailing I was hopelessly and totally hooked.
That was 40 years and hundreds of thousands of dollars ago.
Welcome mate!

Welcome mate!
Same thing happened to me. Never been on a sailboat in my life. Lucked into a trip to the Bahamas with a couple of friends and I have not been the same since. I think in a good way but some of my family may have a different opinion.
