New Here - Saying Hello

Been away from sailboats and boating about twenty years. In October picked it back up again. Have a 13' , 25', a ski boat and picking up a Clipper Marine 30 today that needs work. Hope to slip the 30 if there is a place on the waiting list available.

Re: New Here Saying Hell

Welcome to the CF Gary, and all the best with the boats.

Sometimes it can be hell around here as well

Re: New Here - Saying Hell

The missing O is a typo. Not much of a cusser.

The CM30 turned out to be a dog, or at least the owner was, so still looking for my retirement project boat.

Found one, but not a project, it is ready to go pretty much except general maintenance.

Looks nice. If it's not a project you could always go sailing instead of working on it.

Welcome aboard. Most people don't say "Hell" or other cuss words until they've been in an anchoring thread...

I would appreciate a moderator correcting this typo for me.

I guess I could, but don't really wanna spoil the fun! Hell, I saw the title in Meets and Greets and thought we had a fast learner on our hands!

Welcome aboard.

PS - It's lucky I was being so alert - doesn't happen very often, what with us being overworked and underpaid.... to get our attention next time, hit the red triangle on the bottom left to report a post!

Re: New Here - Saying Hell0

Thanks!

Swam in from MacGregor Sailors and if you do a typo that bad they ban you first and then send you a warning not to do it again. Lol

I will try to be more careful.

Pretty excited to be moving up to the 30 foot class. I know it is not a Hunter or Catilina but I don't know the difference anyway so who cares?

Last bottom paint was two years ago so that needs done. The sails are reported good but possibly original. If they are that old I will be spending money on sails its first season here most likely. I read it is not the fastest boat but not the slowest boat either. I can live with average so long as the condition of the boat is not embarrassing. If she is as clean as the images I will be pleased. If not maybe I will be cussing. Lol

Sailboat delivery. Sounds like a wonderfully delightful occupation. I have a friend that used to deliver airplanes for Cessna.

Lots of responsibility. I do body arts and tattoo reversal. Would trade for your job in a heartbeat.

I ended up with a larger better condition boat, a CM 32 center cockpit aft cabin ketch. Other deal got sketchy and a better deal presented itself.

If I were a younger man, I would beg to crew with you.

Sweet sailing my friend.
