New here. Planning my next life.

Hello I'm new here.
I am 31 yrs old from sugar land,tx.
I love traveling the world and have been for many years. I don't have any sailing experience but I came to the realization that it is the best means to travel and live life.
I am very fortunate that I have a very generous retirement plan and can choose to retire early in 12 years.

I plan on keeping my house which is almost paid for so I can have something to come home to when not sailing. I will travel with my wife during the summers and sail with friends the other times. My wife will return to work after summer to continue working.

I draw a $500 benefit for life right now.
If I retire early in 12 years I can draw an additional $5000 a month pension.
If I choose to postponed retirement for 7 additional years, my pension will be over $10,000 a month.

I am looking in getting an Amel super maramu or a Lagoon 400

I just bought a Mako 313 to learn how to use a powerboat and for fishing. I'm planning on selling it later on.

In the mean time, I'm obsessively watching sailing videos and reading blogs of ppl who have chose a cruising life.

Aloha Chris,
Welcome aboard!
That's a nice retirement package. You need to start putting away money for the boat you want to purchase now so that you can come up with the bucks when you want to purchase. The boats you are talking about are about the price of a new home in some cheaper areas.
Good luck in stashing the cash.
