Well howdy folks. I've long been interested in sailing/cruising and I was pleased to find a forum of like minded individuals. Name's Victor, I'm 26, and I'm currently in between where I was and where I want to be. I am, as of now, quite unfortunately landlocked. I fell in love with all things ocean/beach/sailing when I spent 8 months in Corpus Christi, Texas back in 2007/2008 and then due to some unforeseen circumstances got pulled back north. Then I got kind of lost in...well, all things money. Then I met my now girlfriend/future wife who kind of helped me get back to the me that I want to be. Our general plan is to head back to Corpus Christi within the next 2 years (once I'm done with college) and teach while working on saving up to get a boat and learning to sail. From there, who knows where we'll go. As far as cruising, I plan on settling in Corpus Christi as it's a beautiful city with great sailing opportunities and from there I could reach the Caribbean or Mexico and kind of go from there.

We are taking an exploratory trip to Corpus this summer, so she can check it out since she's never been, but she's pretty open to the whole idea and seems really excited about it, so I'd say I got lucky

Anyways, in the mean time, I'm just here to absorb as much knowledge as I can about the sailing/cruising world! I look forward to it!
