New Here

Hi All, I'm a longtime bluewater cruiser, 25+ yr liveaboard, new member here. As a "newbie" I'm here to learn from others who are also living it, and as an experienced cruiser/liveaboard/general boat nut to maybe share some of my experience in return.

My main interests are long-distance passages, food/provisions, canvas work, any equipment system found aboard, and, in general, all things boating- or cruising-related.

I'm a 53 year old single guy. When I'm not on the ocean I'm an engineer/cyclist/paddler/musician. When I am at sea I prefer long passages and off-the-beaten-path destinations. My long-time traveling companion is Nemo, a pound kitty I picked up 10 years ago in San Diego (who, by the way, much prefers tropical breezes to Pacific Northwest gales).

After more than ten years on the hook in warmer climes, we now live at a marina in Friday Harbor, WA. I'm still adjusting to being able to just step off the boat and walk to the store. Pretty cool!

Oh, my boat is a Bluewater Ingrid 38 - heavy, double-ender ketch. Fully set up for sea.

Welcome aboard, Glenn & Nemo! Sailing's always better with a cat. (Kitty-cat, of course!)

Aloha and welcome aboard!
Have sailed as crew aboard an Ingrid ketch. Good sea boat.
