Thanks

KB:
Thanks for the warm welcome from a Great country.
As long as everyone sticks to sailing & sailing related topics it will be a good voyage.
Just read the recent Lats / Atts thread (on this forum) here..hopefully people will keep their non-sailing interests off what appears to be a great Forum.
If not, I'll just cast off.................
Thanks Again

Chuteman, We are a pretty good lot here. We wander from time to time, but always drift back to boats. Welcome aboard.

Welcome aboard Chuteman:

Grew up asiling the Bay. In fact still have a boat down there that I'm trying to sell. Anyway I think you'll find a good group here. Alot of knowledge on a variety of topics. BTW can you tell me how to rig an Asymetrical chute. I quit racing before they came into vogue. Now I have one and don't know how to fly it LOL.

Thanks for the welcome

Kai Nui - Thanks and so far I agree the comments get back on track pretty fast & there's usually someone who reminds everyone they have drifted off course. I've seen your participation on many threads. Tons of knowledge & experiences shared which is what I'm looking for........

Charlie - Thanks to You too.......agree, from what I've seen so far a very good group with a broad mix of participants across the country & world.
Chutes - fly both but I am partial to asym........could just be more time with them or less chance to get hit in the head with a spinnaker pole...either way it adds another dimension.
What are you sailing with Asym?

Welcome aboard, Chuteman.

Hey did you use that name. Or did/do you use/d to tend to parachutes for a living?

Anyways. Welcome aboard crusiersfroum.

No Parachutes - Thanks

Captain K:
Thanks for the welcome & devilish smile..............
I try to stay planted to ground & water ...unless flying to ground/water.
Only chutes I know are attached to boats..........

Heart of the Monterey Bay. Always good sailing, never bikini weather.

Humm Monterey

Captain KN:

Now let me see..................if I go under the GG and hang a left that should get me there.

Yes, I've been to MB via land a couple of times.......

Spend my local sailing time in San Fran Bay (we got wind & no bikinis here too).............others = mostly foreign charters or friends boats in USA

You're welcome Chuteman.

Kui Nui is right. Moss Landing. Or even San Fransisco does not provide the good weather for people wearing bikini's.

Unless your a member of the local "Polar Bear" club chapter?

No Bikinis Necessary

Captain K:
Bikinis are a distraction to the great sailing in SF Bay.

We save that kinda stuff for sailing the tropics............

On my boat. There is no such thing as distractions.

Bikinis would be the female uniform. Or something skimpy and revealing.

It's what part of sailing is all about.

Easy for You

Captain K:

Sounds like a guy in Phoenix..........................and who does not wear one.

Just happen to check wind chill (playing with wind meter) last week & before the wind really started cranking (just mid teens in am) for the day it was about 54 F......................even though the effect would be enticing..............probably not the best outfit for sailing the bay here in the summer..................actually warmer on the water at other times of the year.
Would have to call coast guard to get them to hospital for hypothermia after hour of sailing...............save that for hot tub after.
So they can wear them under layers & FWG...........but it won't work here.
Now when the opportunity makes sense...............bring out the strings.
