Im real excited to be apart of the sailing community and hope that I can learn alot of some of you guys...

re : New Chesapeake Bay Weekender

Dwayne,
Where on the Chesapeake? I keep boats in Deltaville and Urbanna and often take newbies on as crew for day sails. Let me know if you have a free Sunday sometime.

Aloha Dwayne,
Welcome aboard!! Good to have you here. Hope you can find a copy of "Start Sailing Right!" It's a great introduction to basic sailing.
Looks like you've already got an invitation to sail. Wow! Good for you.
Kind Regards,
JohnL

Hey thanks guys...

It just so happens that I frequent Deltaville, I have friends in the Reedville and Callio area who own boats as well, And most Sundays are fairly good for me, As long as it is not a last minute thing,...My wife and daughter do equestrian eventing on the weekends.
And as far as reading I have not heard of "Start Sailing Right"...But I have read The Complete book of Sailing, The K.I.S.S. Guide to Sailing, The Annapolis book of Seamanship and The ASA Sailing Fundementals just to name a few, so I have done some homework in the last year.

And Thank You guys for the welcome.

-Dwayne

Welcome aboard Dwayne. Do not let your toys interfere with sailing. This is a nice play to be on those cold winter nights in VA.

Welcome to the forum, Dwayne.

I used to do a lot of sailing in your part of the Bay--great cruising grounds. We used to live on Tabbs Creek, off the Bay east of White Stone.
