New Cat on the block dog lover

Hello everyone,
I'm so excited to join this forum, I've been an observer for a while and the content excites my dreams.
I've been a power boat girl since I was 17 and a jetty fisher girl prior to that.
12 foot Dingy's have been my boats until recently when I bought a half cabin 5.3 Whitley Impala with a 90hp 2 stroke Mercury. We have slept in the boat out on the water and it is a wonderful experience.
The thing which has really set me off is my experience in Dec 2013 hiring a Perry 43 Catamaran in the Whitsundays Qld for a week which has opened up a whole new world.
I can't stop dreaming about having something similiar myself and living on it in the future.
I know boating can cost a lot of money in maintenance but living under a mortgage with soaring bills in Australia is making this 50 something year old lady a wage slave. I dream of releasing myself.
By the way I made a u tube video of my Whitsunday trip if you would like to have a look at the area. The link is:-
It fascinates and frightens me at the thought of sailing away and losing sight of land with all that carries with it. But I'm beginning to prep myself I've joined the coastguard on radio to learn more of this world.
I'm sure we will talk again.
Best wishes

Welcome aboard. Frightened and fascinated, that combination makes for a good sailor.
