Need some liveaboard friends in Brighton Marina!!

Hello everybody!

I've been living aboard in Brighton Marina for 7 months now, and although the people on my pontoon are lovely, I never meet anyone on any of the other pontoons...!

I'm 28 & I am after people of a similar age to be late 20's with! I have nothing against the oldies, in fact, most of my friends are much older than me, which is why I'm trying to find people my age!

I'm slightly bored of being the young'un! With all these well experienced people around me I feel like a 5 year old in an alien world where everyone knows more about boats than I do.

I'd like to meet other people roughly my age to learn all about boats with.... Anyone out there....?

:0)

I'm the youngest at my Marina as well. Your Marina's website makes it seem to be a hip, young place to be.

Welcome to the forum!!!

Re: Need some liveaboard friends in Brighton Marina!!

Hello,

I am going to be staying on my Dad's boat in Brighton Marina and hoping to motor it across on Saturday 18th August.
If you are still around and fancy a chat let me know as I too would like to meet others and get to know my neighbours.

Ella

Yep, as atoll says, try YBW, specifically the live aboard forum, which is here: Liveaboard Link - Yachting and Boating World Forums

Re: Need some liveaboard friends in Brighton Marina!!

Hi Midnite!

Hope you have been enjoying the sunshine and have found some more friendly folk! I am looking for a live aboard in Brighton marina at the moment and have been down there for the last couple of days meeting who I can!

I have lived on several boats but have no experience of Brighton marina and I wonder if you might be happy to share your experiences and answer a few questions I have, perhaps on a quick call? My number is 07907 611632.

Many thanks

Alex

Hi Midnite and anyone else at Brighton marina,

I will be moving onto my boat at Brighton marina next week. I am new to sailing and the sailing community so could do with meeting some people and getting some advice!

Hope to catch
Grant
