Navy Retiree Trying to Get Back Into Sailing!

Hi All,

Raced quite a bit in High School, mostly on Thunderbirds and Tanzers. The Puget Sound is again my home after 26 years of active duty. Out for 10 years now, I finally have the ability to get back into it. Primarily looking at a Nonsuch right now but am open to anything from 30-38 feet. Wish me luck!

What a fabulous area to get back into sailing. Wish we were there as it has been a fantastic sailing season - seeing all the photos from friends up and over. I wish you luck in finding the right boat for you.

Greetings from Down Under - with fond memories of wonderful sailing in your region. Cheers Sapient Sue

Aloha and welcome aboard!
Thanks for your service. Another Navy retiree here.
You're in a great place with good cruising grounds and lots of good boats for sale. The Nonsuch is one of those although I believe a 38 would be a couple feet too long. I remember sailing with a friend on his Thunderbird in the Pearl Harbor area. Those were great handling little boats.
