Howdy folks, new guy here checking in. Been looking for a boat for a few years but just recently started learning how to sail the last year or so. I plan to retire and float in the Caribbean. I'm here to learn as much as I can and to hop on any crews that I will let me in (would like to crew some boats being moved around the east coast or to / from the Carib.) guess that's it for now, cheers.

Re: Mike

Welcome,Mike. There are some incredibly knowledgeable people on this forum who are always ready to give guidance to a newbie - I know because they did it for me, and I learn a lot from reading posts in areas I know nothing about. You've got a wide set of skills to learn, not just sailing, but anchoring, docking, electronics, electrical systems, engine repair, navigation, weather, and the list goes one, but we were all newbies sometime, and you can do it.
