Miami dockage.

I'm aboard my 30' sailboat on the ICW arriving at Miami on Saturday. I checked the Miami Beach Marina and it's $5/ft. Any suggestions for a better rate. Need a few days to prepare for crossing to Havana.

Re: Miami dockage.

Check Dinner Key Marina in Coconut Grove. They also have mooring balls, might be alot cheaper. Easy access to shopping etc.

Re: Miami dockage.

Dinner Key is VERY expensive. I would try a mooring there, or else anchor out.

We lived at Dinner Key full time for 2 years. Just to show you how long ago that was, our dock rent was $45 a month including power and water.

I assume those prices are by the foot. Anyway, its a great marina and the neighborhood can't be beat. Walking distance to the Grove, Monty Trainers (you might check out that marina) and good neighbors. Our neighbor for a while was Jimmy Buffet.

Re: Miami dockage.

I stayed 2 days on slip and now 2 days on a mooring while I get my vessel registered with the homeland security before sailing tomorrow towards Havana.
