Male, 24, from Portsmouth

Hi all,

I am a young, enthusiastic male. I'm looking to gain some sailing experience. I am embarking on some back packing travels and the first step of my journey is crossing the channel. I would love to do it by yacht or small vessel, and this will hopefully be the first of many major sailing experiences. I am good at following instructions, able bodied, friendly and open to new experiences. I can't wait to get started.

Welcome Chris, As you mention "crossing the channel" I assume you sailing out of Portsmouth in the UK,- right? Though there are channels near Portsmouth, New Hampshire & Portmouth, Virgina they are certainly not "the" channel. 'pleased to have those posting here and sailing out of the original Portsmouth!

haha, yes, the original portsmouth, south coast of england...and 'the' channel is the English Channel.
