Lurker finally made the leap

Hello All!
I'm a frequent lurker on this forum and a former dreamer. I finally bought a starter boat - Catalina 27 - to be my training wheels, and my wife and I are having a lot of fun learning.

I've learned a lot here, and with the new (to me anyway) boat, I already have a ton of additional questions. But don't worry, I'll post those in the appropriate sections. I just wanted to introduce myself and thank you for the inspiration, the lessons that I've already learned here, and the lessons, tips, and friendship yet to come.

Happy Sailing!

Have fun, I find learning is part of the fun, when you try something and it works I get a feeling of accomplishment.

Re: Lurker finally made the leap

Thanks, a64pilot. I was never much of a handy man, so it's been really satisfying being able to learn how to fix and maintain, as well as sail. I love learning new things, and there is no shortage of things to learn about sailing.

Hi Tampa Don,
I can recommend looking up :
Tampa Sailing Squadron
1250 Apollo Beach Blvd.
Apollo Beach, FL 33572
United States (US)
813-645-8377
They are very "new" friendly.
Cheers

Thanks, DrivinSteve!
We're not far from Apollo Beach. I'll have to check them out.
