Looking for Sailor Soul Mate

My name is Sharlen Campbell. I'm new to the site. Just registered. I love to sail. I'm the Fleet Captain for Fairwind Yacht Club in Marina del Rey, CA. We're a co-op. Amazing group of sailors. I'm also an ASA sailing instructor. I am looking for a sailing soul mate to travel the world to sail & scuba dive. I'd post a picture but I don't know the "URL" for the photos on my phone. I'm on Facebook though. I should probably be writing this from my laptop instead of my phone. Oh well...

Re: Looking for Sailor Soul Mate

Howdy and Welcome Aboard the Forum Sharlen!

Since you are new to this forum, let me mention that there are also some "social groups" on this forum, including one I recall is oriented to helping sailors find mates (the kind to mate with). I am not a member of those groups, but you should be able to find them if you do some exploring of the forum website, look for "groups."

http://www.cruisersforum.com/forums/groups/all.html

As a woman you might be interested in the Mermaids Group. It has 206 members.

Another group is Single Sailors Seeking Soul Mates. It has 608 members.

Since you might be interested in crewing too, there is also a separate forum on this site focused on Crew Needed or Wanted.

A Profile Helps People Relate
You can also post a profile (when you sign up you can create a profile on this site or edit it later) and in that you can also post photos and a description of your sailing desires or experiences. You may click on a member's name (avatar) to see their public profile and through that page you can also send them private messages if you wish. You can look at mine for an example, and see I have written something and also posted some photos in an album. Not everyone does post any written "bio" or even a photo of themselves, but I think it adds to the human factor of a community to see a face and know a little about that person, and makes it more "personal." So I encourage the use of photos of the sailor for the avatar.

Good luck on your sailing adventures and have fun!

Sincerely,
Steady

Thanks Zeehag,

You mean like this? I was trying to view the site on my cell phone and the icons are too damn small. Now I'm on a computer and can see better.
