Thanks to Vicki and Ed for the pictures and update for Adios and pier 9A. I just called my dad with the good news. I think I might just get a ticket to Houston for a few days myself to help you all with the marina clean up. Makes me want to be a boater or at the very least make you all me new friends.

Bill, We lived in Watergate and are in contact with people there now so are getting accurate information. The floating docks in the basin are OK. The damage from the photos are on the fixed docks immediately in front of the office and the docks around the corner occupied by mostly brokers unless you have other first hand information.

Thanks for the information. After looking at the other pictures posted, those looked like the worse of the worse pictures. Bill

Thanks. Your photos covered a lot more area and I can see a little of pier 20 from one of the long shots.

Thanks for posting that Flickr photo link. It really helps ease some of the stress!

I noticed in one photo you have a shot of Pier 6.... (http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3042/...fb22c.jpg?v=0)

Would you happen to have a higher resolution version of that photo? I believe my boat "Blue Dolphin" a '73 Irwin 25 has broken loose but appears to be floating. In that photo, there's a boat on the right side that is out of it's slip, and I think that may be mine. I just want to somehow see if it's okay. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Brandy - So glad you got good info. Trey also reported that 9A and 9B are fine. If you make it to the area look us up. That was a sweet comment from you about boaters. We do have a great community there in Watergate.

Does anyone know when we'll be allowed back down there? Is the Hwy 146/2094 intersection still closed down? I'd rather be out doing something productive than sitting around here waiting on electricity. Perhaps if I could just get down there, I may be able to help somehow.

Many of the residents around the back pool went back yesterday and today. Robert Jones has stationed himself at the "T" on admiralty way and is making sure only boat owners and friends checking for others go into the marina. All report that the 2094 is clear from I45. 146 is blocked from north of Shore Acres though.

Just been going through the pictures and cant believe the number of boats that have left all their sails rigged! A number have frapped considerable cordage around their main - must have taken nearly as long as just taking the sail down and stowing it away, and thus reducing the windage.

Here are some photos from Lakewood Yacht Club. Not good at all. I've heard that "Battleship Row" there was pretty much destroyed. Note the car "parked" next to a boat - that is a very good friend of our's Mariner 39... Had friends with a nearly new Mainship 30 at the yacht club. Was floating last night, on the bottom this morning.
