Leave of Absence

My apologies to those PMing me with questions; which I am currently unable to answer properly.
I’m currently undertaking a personal medical education; trying to learn about NSCLC cancer (brother in-law), Dilated Cardiomyopathy (grandson), and Neurogenic & Arterial Claudication & atherosclerosis (myself). This is consuming my full intellectual capabilities (& more) for the near future.
I continue to follow some of the interesting CF discussions; but will be unable to participate in anything beyond a superficial manner.
Thanks for understanding.
Hope to return to full participation soon.
Very best regards,
Gord

Sorry to hear

Very sorry to hear of the troubles in your family Gord, I have experience with two of these malidies in friends relatives. Hope to have you back when you see fit as you are so often the voice of reason.

Our thoughts are with you.

Well if you had all those deseases you'd be **#%*ed but as you have only 4 or 5 I think your chances are fine.

As for "superficial discussions" ALL discussions on CF are superficial so we do NOT think we can do without you!!!!!!

Finally: If a doctor tries to stick his finger 'up there' just say (loudly): "Glad you're good looking!" He'll have it out in no time

Gord.
I know you will research the hell out of it all.

But then research the docs.

Docs are like car mechanics. Find a good one and stick.

All the best to you and your loved ones. I read somewhere that God does not throw at you more suffering than you can take.

While you are researching all these, I would suggest that you look into alternative medicine, namely acupuncture and Chinese herbal remedies. It saved my life, when all hope was lost.

If you want I can PM you my Chinese doctor's address.
