Kittiwake on Board

My name is Bill, on the Cape Dory 28 Kittiwake. A coastal cruiser for 5 yrs now, between the Chesapeake and Boot Key Harbor, FL Keys, with the occassional side trip. Mostly inside cruising, with the fair weather 100 nm outside trip. Kittiwake has proven to be a great teacher of how to sail and cruise!

Hi Bill, Carl here. Welcome. I'm new myself, and just launched a 23 footer last Monday.

Looking forward to a shakedown trip this weekend.

Welcome to the Board.

Cape Dorys

Hey Erika
Kittiwake has been a very very good Cape Dory. Sails well, cruises well, and has been pretty much trouble free in the grand scheme of things. Every now and then I'm on another sail and think that I would like a little more beam, a couple more feet of length, then I reconsider...
Peace and Fair Winds, Bill

Re: Kittiwake on Board

Bill I would love to see a picture of Kittiwake if you don't mind posting or emailing one. My family may have owned this vessel in the 90's on the Chesapeake. Would love to show my dad that she is still being sailed.

Thanks, Darrell
