Kauri Schooner 1955 'Ceceline'

aloha, we live at the bottom of big island, hawaii and a long way from most things nautical but being able to talk story on these forums gives us the inspiration to continue on in our madness..my wife may and Ii have been sailing since we married in 78 and built our schooner salano in british columbia. sailed her till she was lost in a huricane in the south pacific in 91, very sad but Ii survived to own ceceline a year later and though not a lot of sailing we have very much enjoyed just having and being around boats..planning a cruise this summer maybe to b.c. before getting married in 78 owned a 40ft ketch Ii built in canada and sailed it south through the canal to new york and finally montreal.. before this numerous boats too many to mention I have built to various designs.. settled down to building an owning houses after all our friends mentioned the roots that we needed only to find they were too busy to come all the way here to visit..so now we are getting back to our dreams of sailing again a little late but still got the itch.. well thats the short form.mahalo

Aloha and Welcome aboard!
Good to have you posting here. One of our club members www.hilo-sailing.org lives in Ocean View and has his Ingrid 38 here in Hilo at Reeds Bay. Most the rest of our 160 members live between South Point and Honokaa but there are a few in Kona. We have a Christmas party potluck coming up on December 9th at Wailoa Park in Hilo if you are interested. You'll be welcome.
regards,
