Just Registered, Future Liveaboard Still Looking for a Boat

I am newly registered altough I have been a reader since a while.
Let me introduce myself,
I have been dreaming about sailing around the world since several years (with a focus on polynesia), not only dreaming, went to sailing class (pass boat and VHF license in France), passed my Ham licnce for BLU email, sailed as a crew on several boats and rented one Bavaria 35 in Croatia and a cat (Gemini 105) in southwest Florida.
My worse experience was a passage from Corsica to Rome on a First 351 close to the wind with only a genoa with 35 to 40 knots of wind at night but all that cold salted water in my face staying at the tiller it did not change my determination to sail.
I have tried to take a sabbatical and fought for it but it ends up that I now dismissed.
40 years old, good health, no debt and good savings, no kids, no obligations and an enthusiastic admiral : I say time to live aboard.
We are now selling our remaining furniture, leaving our apartment in january and we are looking for a boat.
We would be ready to climb aboard early 2
012.
Now the question is which boat but that's a question for another thread

Shtroumpf,
Welcome. It takes a lot of grit and determination to get that boat and then really head off. Sounds like you have what it will take. Best of luck with your search. Now the fun begins! Buy the boat for the trip and remember, as they say, you can have big, fast and cheap. Pick any two.
Cheers.
