Hello everyone, I have been looking at this forum for years and decided it was time to join. I have found a lot of good info on this forum.
Our
boat is a 41'
Formosa ketch that I, and my better half, are rebuilding as we
live aboard. It can be very challenging, but also very rewarding experience.
My goal is to completely
refit and bring our
boat to
current standards,in 5 years when I retire. We are about 60% done now,but an unfortunate mishap happened. Our marina suffered a bad storm in which the breakwater wall ship gave away and hit our boat, breaking the
bowsprit off and a lot of other damage. The storm sank 7 other boats. We were lucky. The
insurance paid our boat off. I bought it back for
salvage. The insides are completed now. Just waiting for the
weather to break, to finnish the decks and masts. We have been able to do most of the
work ourselfs and therefor haved saved alot of
money. Thanks to a lot of good info in these
forums.
Other than that,we our just people getting ready to retire.
