Just In From the Mountains

Hello! My name is Josh and I currently live in the mountains of North Carolina, but about five years ago, I spent a week in the keys doing nothing but living on and near the ocean with the BSA High Adventure Camp Sea Base, and since then, I've had a longing to get back on the sea or just a body of water and sail. Also with the BSA, I got the chance to sail a Sunfish quite a bit, so I'm looking into getting one possibly over the summer and graduating into larger vessels as I graduate from college. Anyway, I just joined to learn as much as I can from y'all and maybe even meet some locals, if there are any.

Aloha and welcome aboard!
As a Sunfish sailor I admire your choice of vessel. I own bigger boats too but the Sunfish is the most successful design ever and the easiest to rig and transport. Parts are inexpensive used and you can find them anywhere. They've been around since the 50s and are still going strong.
kind regards,

Welcome aboard Josh. I live a few hours from you.

Sunfish is a great boat. You'll have lots of fun.

Fair winds,
