Just Clambered Aboard

Hi,

Clearly new here but not new to the water or to boat ownership. Currently between boats but actively searching for my next one. Might have to go long distance to find what I'm looking for but that's okay too. Boats over here (Down Under) are massively overpriced - at least for what I want - and there appears to be generally better and more extensive choices elsewhere (is the water really bluer further away?). But that's just a good excuse to buy a boat and sail her home.

Anyway, I'll have plenty of questions once I get my sea legs in this forum. Just lifting a few hatches to see what I can discover.

David

Ozwizz54,

Welcome aboard. Hope you don't find any brown snakes when you open the hatches!

Re: Just Clambered Aboard

Thank you to you both. Starting to feel welcome already.

Actually, Ann, with lots of experience with both, brown snakes worry me far less than Taipans. Both are incredibly dangerous but the Taipan is much less predictable, more agressive and can launch itself at you from a distance up to three times their length. Regardless of which you consider the most dangerous, they both provide a great reason to get off terra firma and onto the water.

Re: Just Clambered Aboard

Quite so, Ozwizz, although I have heard it said that, relative to land, the more firmer, the less terror.
