Introduction

Hi all,

after reading the welcome-mail I feel ashamed I posted before
So, I dont want to hide anything..
Like sailing much more than work "Born to sail, forced to work", though as many of us, I have to do it..

My profession is networks, IP, Cisco, Ex-MCSE, deeply in Linux (mainly Debian), uC (AVR, something from Arduino to Attiny).
Also some coding, good in C/Perl, knowing Python, C++, PHP, Basic/Whatevever (its all the same) - although its not what I'd call one of my best strenghts..
Never ever again being CEO - though I'm still..

So far,

Michael (Makki is my real nickname, without 99 - was already used)

Re: Introduction

Thanks for the warm welcome !
I'm follwing OpenCPN for some while now and although I'm not perfectly happy with everything, it might be the right time to just get in and try to improve things

My first project, porting an already existing Barometer to output NMEA was BTW mainly inspired by a long-term member of the sailing-community.. After getting so much, I could maybe give some missing pieces back..
