pirate Introducing ourselves

Good morning everyone,

My name is Charles and I have the joy to sail with my lovely wife Anne-Marie and our small dog Max.

We are now in Chub Cay, Bahamas preparing to go back to Canada. We are obviously Canadian from Montreal and we sail a Corbin 39 cutter. We came down the Intracoastal waterway in November (it was cold) and our destination was Nassau, Bahamas.

I am joining this forum to exchange information on navigation, technical stuff and experiences we lived.

I am looking for detailed current tide prediction for the Bahamas region.
would anybody know where to get that information.

I wish all happy and safe sailing.

Charles and Anne-Marie

Welcome aboard Charles and Anne-Marie. You might want to delay your return to Canada a little bit longer!!! We're still in the deep freeze with little sign of it warming up anytime soon!

Looking forward to hearing all about your trip. We hope to follow the same route someday!

Cheers.

If you can get your hands on a copy of Reeds almanac it will have the tidal info for the Bahamas. The info can also be acquired through several of the radio nets throughout the islands. Hope you are having fun and welcome to cruisersforum.

Welcome from ... big, white... . Nice weather down there, Eh?

Do not try to come back too early ... Our boats are covered with at least a meter of snow.

For the short time prediction you can get free information from British Admiralty. Co the there site:
EasyTide - on-line tidal predictions from the UKHO
I think it is free for up to 7 days. If you would like to have longer information there is a charge for it.

Have fun

Chris

If I remember correctly the tides are also in the Explorer's charts...........If you are not using these for the Bahamas you will be missing the most exact charts for the area................
