Introducing myself!

Hello!

I am a 50 year old guy who has always wanted to sail around. I will be taking the ASA basic keelboat course this week, and hope to eventually get up to Coastal Cruising and Bareboat.

I doubt I will be able to buy my own boat for quite a while, so my hope is to maybe be part of a club in my local area (Pensacola Fl) and occasionally do bareboat charter thing in interesting places. That may be too expensive too, though.

I don't have a ton of sailing experience, but have loved what little I have done.

Welcome aboard Kyle, go get yourself a Laser and get out there with the kids! You'll have a blast and you'll learn the basics at light speed!

Re: Introducing myself!

Hi Kyle, Welcome to the forum. Boats come in all price ranges. My first cost me $10.00 to build. Two sheets of plywood and a handful of screws.
