Incoming Refugee

Hi all
Some may already know me from the dreaded ybw forum, have you been dreading my arrival ?
For those that don't, I'm Dave, been sailing quite a few times but only a few on my own boat which is a rescued Robert Tucker designed Debutante, 21 ft'er. Based in the UK off The Wash (for those that know the area) which is a great place to sail if you can be remotely sure of good weather for the time you're out. Bit unpleasant if it turns rough because you have to fight hard to moor safely with the tidal flow we get.
I'm told this is a more pleasant and civilised forum, did Kieth lie ?
Is there a 'fun' zone in here then ?
Any more refugee's ?
Cheers
Dave

Never heard of you

Welcome Dave. I got in here by handing out open invites to sail with us in the UK and painted a picture of clear waters, blue skies and a ready queue of bikini-clad babes wanting to join us afloat.

I've already pitched my tent here and claimed YBW asylum. So far they've not deported me but I fear it's only a matter of time There are several others here that you'll recognise, and if I get kicked out I'll name names before I go

Enjoy!

Keith

PS It's about time you spelt my name right

Ewe can tell the difference between an ordinary ewe and a Welsh ewe because a Welsh one runs towards you backwards
Jeez, only just got here and you're going to get me in trouble already
Rumour has it they jump on ewe over here

Hopefully it's just a ybw thing then, too many people with no sense of humour at all just lately

Sort of like, walk into the light my son
Just had a PM over there asking me to keep winding them up
Think it's because I just don't tolerate fools easily

After many years on YBW as Pete.G when it opened up changed to Iota after some rather unpleasant PM's after steve101 finally gave up last week I hope this is a less bigoted place where I can indulge my love of sailing and good conversation. welcome, I enjoyed your posts over there

Thanks Pete, must admit I'm still posting there but not the same way as I used to. Sort of testing the water here before joining in completely. The chance of being on the wrong end of someone's sharp tongue on here as well as there isn't something I relish
