I'm back on the Forum,Moving to Monterey.Anyone from M.bay area?

Hi everybody! It's good to be back reading all your stories! Since the last time I was here I have become the single mom to a beautiful one year old daughter! So I never made it to St. Augustine but it was meant to be! I'm getting my ducks in a row to make the move to the Monterrey Bay area. I would love to get in touch with some of the locals and find out more about the scene there, what the live aboard situations are like and just what the general community is like. Anybody from Monterrey? My heart is pretty set on Monterrey but it's not set in stone. Im interested in hearing about other areas in Central/Southern Cali too. But as far as ocean enthusiasm goes there really nothing like it. I think it will be a wonderful place to raise a little one and teach her how to sail! Although I'll need some help with that. It's been so long since I've been on the water I fear I have forgotten how! It's true that absence makes the heart grow stronger! I'm from SanFran originally I might be moving there first and staying with family before I get down south. I would love to make some friends willing to take me out on the SF bay since I've never been! Just daydreaming

Hope you have better luck than last time.
