I just Discovered this Site

I am happy that I found this website. It looks like there's a lot of great information and forums available. I've owned three sailboats in my lifetime: a 1968 Cal 20, a 1970 Ranger 26, and my current boat, a 1968 Islander 34, which I purchased in 1997. I keep my boat at the Cabrillo Way Marina in San Pedro and enjoy day sailing and cruising to Catalina.

CF consists of a lot of people who ... how can I say it ... have been polishing the bottoms of their deck shoes for longer than the folks on some other forums. You won't be manhandled here because you know nothing (not saying that's you). I'm proof of that!

Howdy and Welcome!

I have found this forum to be more friendly and "open" than some other sailing forums on the net. It is full of experienced cruisers and boaters (sail and power) and lots of good info.

Welcome aboard Chief....as you have seen there is a lot of good seafaring information available on CF.....sometimes the "conversations" really get to be challenging but our Moderators won't allow anyone to disrespect someone and that is good.

You'll get a lot of great experiences shared along with opinions and like everything in Life it's up to you to decide what is best for you and your crew.

Just always remember to just keepa Smilin cause Life is Good.....
