Hullo from Charioteer

We are New Zealand cruisers......Brian is 68 ( going on 6) and I (Carol) am a sensible 62.
CHARIOTEER is a 16m steel sloop., Ganley design, launched in 1984
Six years ago we left New Zealand and slowly cruised to South Korea.
We have spent two years in Japan and South Korea

We have spent Christmas in NZ and this week we return to CHARIOTEER
to continue our adventure.

Although we have learnt that life gets in the way of the plans we make, tentatively
we will be back in NZ by December. We shall do a bit of tidying and checking....
(I want a new galley) and then if the health is still okay we would like to head
to South America.

Charioteer looks like a very interesting and well looked after boat. Sorry about the 'life' thing getting in the way of cruising, but hey, welcome aboard - and hope you enjoy us as much as we enjoy each other!

Hi Brian and Carol and welcome to the forum. Very nice looking boat. Does the name have any connection to the constellation Auriga?

We think the name came from the builders association with the 'Chariot' sailors during the war.......and the 'life getting in the way of plans ' meant we enjoy places so much we have trouble staying to our very loose schedule
