Howdy from Texas

I am fairly new to sailing and I look forward to learning from this wonderful group of sailors. I grew up in a family of commercial fishermen so I spent my summers in the Gulf of Mexico. My son bought a sailboat several years ago and he and I sailed from south Florida across the Gulf to Galveston. That was the most enjoyable time of my life. Since then I bought a Catalina 25 and plan to spend my retirement sailing. I look forward to becoming part of your great community.

Thanks

Sounds like a plan. To go from the sea is your business to a 3 to 4 knot sloop and one hundered percent recreation. You ll see all things through a different light!

Welcome to the forum! Out of curiosity how was your crossing, any tips? I'm looking to make the same trip next spring (with my dad, incidentally)
