Kevin, I am not personally aware of any sailing schools in the area. However I would recommend the Sailing Skills and Seamanship course provided in the Clearwater area. I learned a great deal from taking the course, and I would suspect even a seasoned mariner could gain something from the experience. If you are wanting to just get out on the water I would suggest visiting the SSS in Sarasota. Sarasota Sailing Squadron | 1717 Ken Thompson Parkway, 941-388-2355
