Howdy from Austin!

New to the community and sailing in general so many questions to ask but super psyched nonetheless. The wife and I are planning for retirement (still several years away) and the dream is to sell the house and buy a liveaboard. Taking the ASA 101 Basic Keelboat course this July in Corpus Christi. Figure it's a good start for a complete noob like myself. Anyway, great to be here. Cheers!

Re: Howdy from Austin!

Welcome. I'm planning on ASA 101 in Houston toward the end of July myself. I'm also a noobie. I've been looking forward to it for a long time.
Enjoy!

Aloha and welcome aboard!
I hope you are getting the wife involved in the sailing lessons too. It'll determine if sailing is right for you. I always recommend at least a basic class. Up to you if you want to take more advanced training.
"Start Sailing Right!" is a great book.
kind regards,

Re: Howdy from Austin!

We are in Corpus Christi most weekends. Be sure and look us up. The folks doing the ASA course are excellent.
