Howdy Folks!

Been lurking for a bit and enjoying all the useful info from all over the dang place... plenty of laughs too, so figured it was about time to make a nuisance of myself.
Most recently, trying to get the docklines loose. Over the last year been wrangling a steep learning curve so I can get the boat up to cruising mode. Hung a sign on my bowsprit the other day "I'd rather be sailing".
Getting close though!!
Anyway, good to be here and look forward to jumping in.

Ocean Springs Yacht Club on coastal Mississippi. I have a 16' Hobie that I just purchased. It hasn't gotten wet under my command, she needs a couple of soft spots taken care of. Still, I dream of the big boats!

Thanks John (and others!) for the welcome
That is the 210' Cutter Confidence WMEC 619 I served on out of Kodiak Alaska doing fisheries and SAR patrols along the Aleutians, into the Gulf of Alaska and up into the Bering Sea many moons ago. She has long since been transfered to Florida where this pic was taken. The 210s are good boats in spite of the nickname "beercan" (aluminum and rolled a lot). The Connie was great duty where I developed some serious sea-legs.
