House For Sale. Soonish.

Hello everyone.

One of my earliest childhood memories is that of being on a small fishing boat in what from my perspective could have been the middle of the ocean. Need I say more? I don't know a lot about sailing, but I hope to learn enough to be able to pilot my own seaworthy vessel within the next couple of years. Who needs a home you can't drop anchor from anyway?

Welcome aboard. The hardest thing about this lifestyle is taking the first step.

Good luck in your plans from another Canuck 7h!

Thank you so much Celestialsailor. I've been thinking about doing this for years. Might be a while, but I can't wait to speak those same words myself!

Thank you so much! Hoping to set sail within the next 12 months but not sure if that's a realistic expectation. Even if I had the boat already, I barely know a jib from a main.

Re: House For Sale. Soonish.

I was born in Hamilton. I'm sitting here on my Halberg Rassy in San Diego waiting to cross over into Mexico. If you're determined, it can be done...Just ask my ex-wives.

That's awesome!!!! I'm determined. It's only a matter of time. No ex-wives but a few potentials. You can ask one of them. hehe Have fun in Mexico!!

Best to have potential ex-wives instead of actual ex-wives.
Aloha and welcome aboard!
If sailing lessons are available I recommend them. You can sail without them but it'll be a harder learning curve and some important things might be missed.
