Hola

Hello..27 y/o, I was raised on a beautiful lake in Al, always been good with a boat, granted I have never sailed but thats about to change! I have never been one for materialistic things, and have always dreamed of sailing around the carribean. So recently got out of the service, I consider myself a proud patriot USA! however, Im just ready to get out of the "rat race" I will be taking a couple lessons from this old head that has a sailboat at the marina, and look forward to buying my own soon..gotta along way to go but I will be there soon. Peace

Welcome. Everyone started doing whatever they do with the first time. No choice - you will either love it or hate it. Mike...

Re: Hola

saludo

I would make the recommendation of starting out with a dingy if new to sailing. Get something used but in good shape. Learning to sail in a very small boat will allow you to learn much faster than getting a larger boat and spending time fixing things. Can always trade up later.
Keep simple = stay happy
