Hi - Transplant Floridian Looking for Local Sail-Racing Opportunities

Hey everyone, this is an amazing forum!

I moved up to D.C./VA in early 2012 from FL. and have found myself on dry land for too long I'm hoping to get on the water again!

I used to do local sail-racing in Melbourne, FL (on a Lindenberg 28 or J-30) for 5 years and would like to join a crew for any local racing around Annapolis. Alas, longer/more distant races will have to wait a bit - those races are in the longer scheme of things.

I love monohulls and spinnaker racing, as well as catamarans and trimarans (though I have limited experience sailing the last two).

Anyone need crew or can point me in the right direction? I would love to meet fellow sailors and look forward to learning more about sailing and hearing tales!

Thanks and fair winds!

I second Galesville on Wednesday nights. Someone is always looking for crew.

In the fall, they race on Sunday mornings.
