HI THERE: Catalina in California

My wife and I have been sailing in and around Long Beach California since 85'. Our boat is a Westsail 28. We love to sail over to Catalina. A year ago was kind of a life changer for both of us. My wife got laid off from Boeing, and I had to fold my machine shop,(no work). However it turned out for the better. We sold our house, made a little bit on it and moved into a 55 and older community that is only 1 mile from the boat. We have no plans to do any long term cruising. But we do love to stay a couple of weeks over at Catalina. and in the summertime we pretty much live on the boat. Anyhow, HI to everyone, its good to be aboard .

Welcome to both you and your wife! It sounds as if you've both made the best of a challenging situation. Wishing you fair winds from this day, onward!

Good on you folk - sounds like a nice life. Nothing like summer spent on a boat!
Love the journey!
