Clipperbird,

I was able to get down there a few times, I had the yacht in Cullen Bay so spent to much time at the spots close by. Did a few sailing events with Dinah Beach, great social club. I believe all the yachts left Darwin for the Indonesian Rally today, looks as if over 100 yachts are participating, one of my cruising friends amongst them so Darwin will be empty of yachts for a while. My little yacht has been to Indon five times, would love to be up there in a few more years.

Whimsical

Was up your way today for the last of the ocean race series, a bit of a drifter, but at least we were on the water.

Drop me an email as I am the Cruise Captain for the local MOFSC and would love to have you along for some of our cruising events, a great way to learn and meet local cruisers.

Waiting for Winter to End - Tim

Tim,
The Darwin-Ambon race is a great run. There was a break for a few years when there was religious strife in Ambon, but racing to Ambon has resumed and everyone is happy.
Their forecasting 15-20Kts SE, so there should be some reasonable times to Ambon.

Nestled snugly between the Pacific Ocean and the Olympic National Forest is the ultimate getaway! Imagine a fire lit cottage, with the ocean roaring outside your window. Beach walks between incoming squalls. Slow mornings with warm coffee and the ocean off of your deck. Early mornings spent searching for treasures swept in by the nights tide. Wine, candles, comforter and maybe a movie. Clear air, silence except for the ocean and wind. Beach fires, schmores and campfire smoke in your clothes. Look no further for these delights than "The North Beach" for the most relaxing and affordable vacation you'll never want to end.
This is what i call a cruise. How about it ?Why not peoples invest soem cruise on this type ofa veiw ?

Tim,

It would be great to catch up. Our boat is in the Marina. second jetty on the Port at the end "Zofia" Jeanneau 42 DS. We are ther most weekends. Not this weekend, however, as we have to see the tulips in the hills.
