Hi from Vancouver

Hey there everyone...

I've just bought my first boat, Kiwi, a 1968 '37 Buchan sloop (any others out there?) and am just starting to realize the massive job ahead of me to refurbish it from bow to stern. Don't have a clue what I'm doing, but learn quick and like to get my hands dirty. Anyway, figure I'll have LOTS of questions for the more seasoned of you!

Once I get it out of the Shelter Island boatyard I'll be moored at Point Roberts, Washington for some nice Gulf Island sailing!

Cheers,
Ty

Aloha Ty,
Welcome aboard!! You're going to have fun refurbishing. I'm redoing my 42' Cascade and have just reinstalled the engine and aligned it. Will be closing up the cockpit soon where I've dug out a bunch of dryrotted beams and shelf. The fun of older, abused boats!!
Regards,
JohnL

Well, that was the day I finished painting the topsides - after the past two months in the boatyard she's a bit more, uhhh, "speckled"!
