We're probably related

I have more relatives running around over there than I could count. But, alas, I don't know them as I only visited once.

I'm in SF Bay, California.

Amusing short story: I found some art online that was attractive & inquired as to the price, etc., from the artist in Ireland. He wrote back & we discovered his cousin lived about ten miles from me. Small world it is.

Hi Bigdreams

Back from weekend sailing, and what a good weekend it was. We met up with friends and just sailed up the coast as far as the river Thames and back. No great adventure , but fine for the weekend.

You saying about discovering relatives via the internet, its a small world.

We have been sailing with a friend of ours for many years, only to discover he is my cousin. It happened when we where both doing our family tree's (well, my Daughter was doing ours, but you get the drift). We discovered that we had the same surnames, mine was changed when my mother remarried when I was a child.

We both originate from a place called Glemsford in Suffolk where our lines cross.
How good is that

I will put the kettle on sail into Sligo deepwater quay and I can collect you.

Health warning
The sea cannot be seen from the cottage, a stream and river is the best available, unless we have had winter floods then the field opposite turns into a lake

Aloha Islanderskipper,
Welcome aboard! You've already found friends and possible relatives on the forum. Amazing isn't it. I hope you enjoy the conversations here as much as I do.
Kind regards,
JohnL
