Hi from the Salt Lake Valley of Utah

Looks like there a few here from our part of the world!

When my husband, Barry, and I bought our second boat, the plan was to retire early in three years, move aboard her and sail where the wind took us. I'm happy to say we are right on schedule. We are in the process of shutting down our architecture firm and getting rid of a lifetime of stuff (sold a bunch of stuff yesterday while selling a car (project) that is missing brakes and gas tank.

We have had Smart Move in charter service in the BVIs for the three years. Barry, I and two cats (Lilly & Chloe) move aboard at the end of February 2012.

Both of us have been reading this forum for quite awhile, it has been an invaluable resource. We are excited to begin the next chapter our lives.

Robyn

Hi and welcome. I have been through Salt Lake several times, so I know your area even though I am not from there.

Geez, you'd think I could at least spell the name of the place I'm from! Thanks for the welcome everyone. I'm looking forward to spending more time on this forum as work winds down over the next couple of months.

I don't think a lot has changed. It is still one of the most beautiful places I have lived and there is no better place if you like to ski. The predominate culture takes a little getting use to (I didn't grow up here), but it was a great place to raise kids!
