Re: Hi from the Mountains of Utah

Hi Dennis G. and PDX-or-Sailing, I don't know whether you are still following this thread but I enjoyed your talk of REBA I was her original owner. Took delivery off the deck of container ship ORIENTAL DIPLOMAT (see pic).
in Seattle harbor and sailed her throughout the Pacific Northwest from Portland to BC for ten years while I was developing Elliott Bay Marina. I then moved to Alpental Ski area above Seattle and got back into skiing big time (120 days a year). After a couple of years of that and when I realized I hadn't seen her for over 6 months I decided it was time to let her go.
I now live on Marco Island, Florida where I have an old Bristol 34 sloop named after my wife Margi and an old Uniflite 27' navy launch tied up in front of my house for use on the Gulf of Mexico and in and amongst the 10,000 Island between here and Key West.

My favorite skiing is Little Cottonwood Canyon, Utah but I also get to Bridger and Big Sky as my daughter Karen (Pictured here at about age 12 aboard REBA in Port Ludlow harbor, Washington in a bosun's chair) lives with her husband and two children in Bozeman.

Take care and continue to enjoy her as did Steve & Jamie Sidells. They sounded like the really had a wonderful time aboard her.

By the way "REBA" came from the fact that my name is Abercrombie and nick name was Aber which I reversed to name her. Where does AHMEEK come from.

Best,

David Abercrombie

Re: Hi from the Mountains of Utah

David
Glad to hear from you.
We have had the boat for just over two years now (got from Steve and Jamie), and are moving on full-time this summer. Likely heading to Mexico in fall.
Ahmeek is a village in Keweenaw Peninsula of Michigan and dear to use (the word is Indian for Beaver).
Will send you a personal message for follow up.
Regards
