Hi, from the Med!

Hello everybody,

I am Robert, a belgian citizen living in Northern Italy . I have an engineering beckground.

My boat is a Holman and Pye designed Oyster 406, a central cockpit sloop, which I have now owned for 11 years.

I have sailed, in the Med mostly, for over 40 years. I also have some experience in French Polynesia, in the Caribbean s, and in Venezuela. In fact, the name " Australe" of my boat refers to the Australes Islands near Tahiti.

My wife Yvette and I currently spend about six months a year sailing in the Aegean Sea and Turkey.

I am most happy to join this very nice Forum, and I intend to contribute whenever appropriate.

Hi Robert,

Welcome!

I lived and worked in Belgium for 6 years and 2 years ago bought a boat in the Netherlands and last year sailed to the Med. Maybe we will see you sometime in the future.

Jim

Ciao JohnL,

We live in Lerici, in the bay of La Spezia, between Genova and Pisa, during the winter months.

On Sunday we will fly to Turkey to meet our boat which has wintered there, and we will be sailing in Greece and Turkey until Mid October.

Best regards,

Robert
