Hi everybody, I am a new member of the forum. 48 yo, I am planning to buy a cat next year and start traveling six months a year when I turn 50. The idea is first to cruise the Med during summer and then cross the pond and leave the boat in Aruba or Curaçao while we would come back to Spain to work (from May til November). Then visit the Caribbean Islands the following sailing period and leave the boat in Panama. Then back to work. Then cross the Pacific to the Marquises...

I can't wait but it is also pleasing to live the excitement of all the preparation.

Welcome aboard. I like your plan it sounds great. Good luck with the planning. I am looking to buy a boat in the Med and cruise it for a few months every year and then sell it in 3 or 4 years. How is the boat market in Spain?

Thanks for your message. Well, boat market is really damaged by the crisis, there are many boats for sale and very few buyers. It is a buyers' market now, but maintenance is the problem, as owners selling their boat do not have the liquidity to pay for maintenance in most cases.
