Hi from Michigan

nice forum!
I am pretty new to sailing, but aim to buy a mid sized cruising cat in the next few years.

Welcome! It takes a while to find the right boat, so your couple of years plan is probably appropriate. We searched several years for a monohull, and once we decided on a cat it took another two.

We have a mid size cruising cat, a 38 ft. Prout, one of the 37 or so built in South Africa in the mid-90's. Sunspot Baby, my other half, is also on this forum.

You can view our boat and cruising reports at:
1994 Prout 38 Sunspot Baby

You will get much good information on this forum, and have fun in the process.

this big trouble with cats in michigan is finding a place to dock them. unless you plan to moor.
