Hi from Connecticut

My wife and I are life-long sailors, we live in Rowayton, Ct., our boat is a Cambria 46, "Starlight", and I just found this site yesterday. In three years, or less, we are heading south. It is really great to have found this site, and I will learn a lot and try to contribute where I can.

Welcome to the forum and I'm sure you will find lots of "stuff" to comment on.

How far South are you going?

Welcome to the forum. I too am a Conn. Yankee who learned to sail in Long Island Sound. Now living in Florida and cruising the Bahamas and the South East.
You will find all kinds of info here, enjoy.

Thanks!

This has been our first summer with our Cambria, after 20 wonderful years with our Contessa 35, Windtryst. We will use the next several years to get Starlight in long term cruising shape, finish educating younger son, and then head south on the ICW, through the Bahamas, maybe getting as far as the Virgins for the first year.

I'm also a relocated Connecticut Yankee who learned to sail in LI sound as well. Your weather report is sunny .. 86 degrees, winds 12 knots from the east in sunny Florida.

Welcome to the forum!!

Thanks, Rick. Here, it is 51 degrees, raining, blowing, and the only weather window I'm looking for is next weekend, so I can get my sails off and have them be dry...before she goes on the hard.
