Hi from Artlady (Mrs. bloodhunter)

Hello everyone I just joined today and I am excited about discussing different boating issues and getting to know fellow sailors!!! I happen to be Mrs. bloodhunter. After discussing our retirement plans for 2012 we decided we would live aboard our boat and take it to the carribean that first year to see how we like it. I am sure during this planning period I will have lots of questions and I am looking forward to all your wonderful advice and suggestions.

Preparation leads to fulfilled expectations. Getting ready now sounds like a good idea. A million questions might be required. We do it here on a regulkar basis. Join in the sharing of the pains, experience, and joys. We think we do it better than any place else.

Not a bad idea to do it part time before going full time. Sooner is really a good way to ease into it.

Kindle aka Deborah,

Nice to hear from you. Yes I am an artist soon to be a primary occupation. I have earned a living as an art consultant and dealer. I have an art gallery for designers and architects and those that know me, I place art in public spaces. You can check out my website at www.artresource.org. I am in the process of updating it.

Hope to talk to you soon.

Hi Laura. Welcome to the best cruisers' forum on the planet, as far as I know.

It's a great site and a perfect resource for planning your voyage. I've shared you site with my partner, because I though she'd find it interesting. She has this gallery on a trendy street in Venice Kali. Altered Space Gallery : Welcome to Altered Space Gallery.

Laura, thanks for posting your website I enjoyed viewing it. What medium will you primarily be working with while cruising?

I would be quite interested if you started a thread sharing some of your professional experience in approaching interior design/decoration as it may apply for boat interiors. I have found amazingly little resources available on this subject. In such a small space it seems that every choice made is so critical--or at least so obvious when it's not quite right. I certainly would be interested in learning more from you!

Again, Welcome!

Deborah

Hi Deborah,

Thank you, if you have any specific questions I will certainly try to answer them. I work in a variety of medias. My present challange is putting together managable boat size materials that will allow me to use several media without taking up all boat space!! I will keep you posted.

Hi again Kindle

I did view the site very interesting. I have to run to work but would enjoy continuing our dialog. I am still learning how to navigate this site.
